Favorite Type of Story

Today I want to tell you my favorite things when I read manga/manhua!, maybe we have a same taste and be friends!

Tbh i’m okay with straight, bl, gl, omegaverse, i eat everything. I easily ship it if its cute, a multishipper too!, but I do have an OTP or an NOTP tho.

I also like all kind of genre as long as it is good!, as long no harem-seeker, or ecchi fanservicy type I’m on!, oh I like horror as well!, especially when psychology or thriller added, apocalypse is nice too!, dystopia is good as well.

I really like subtle romance in story, or focusing on the story rather than the /cough/ part, but still /cough/ is great sometimes, especially BL.

I like younger person pursuing the older one!, especially we are in the older one PoV.

I also like the pretty one is seme for BL hehe ^^), trap seme is \0/, but many trap are uke..

I like pure or dedicated is nice too!

I prefer slow-paced.

I’m okay with possesive, yandere, crazy character as long it is good.

I’m not into too horny/pervert/lewd protagonist or story, but I will look into it if it is good. I mean pervert character if it is executed well will be an interesting character! like the police from Mahou Shoujo of the End / Magical Girl Apocalypse for example.

I’m picky about tsundere, tsundere abusive like Louise from Zero Tsukaima is…just.. no..

I’m not into chuunibyou, I haven’t dive in but…kinda avoid it.

I’m not into playboy character.., changing partner, but will reconsider if the story great

Fast-pace smut, well this is depend, but things escalated too quickly like, WAIT IT IS TOO FAST ARE YOU SURE???  NO REGRET??? something like that

And when writing a couple of 爱 I found this 恋爱, and translate in japanese and…
Somehow I’m curious between 愛してる and 恋してる
Because chinese has 恋爱 somehow, like they combine both of love?
The translation said

liàn ài

  • in love
  • to have an affair

恋 (liàn): to feel attached to; to long for; to love;

Then someone explain

The difference between 愛 and 恋 is worth diving a bit deeper into. My view is as follows:

愛: sacrificial, unconditional, love for the other person’s sake (often parallels the Greek agape, but can extend into philos as sawa mentions)

恋: selfish, conditional, love for one’s own sake (often parallels the Greek eros)

With 愛, the focus is on the other person: you are loving that person for his/her sake, and even if he/she doesn’t return your love, that won’t change your feelings. With 恋, the focus is on you: it’s all about experiencing that feeling of being in love, and it rarely continues if the feeling turns stale or if the object of your love fails to return your love.

It is the other way. On the scale, 愛 is stronger than 恋. Besides that, 愛 can be used generally, including the kind of love that Christianity talks about, or the love in between a family. 恋 is only for relations/feelings toward a person of the targetted sexual orientation.

As for the meaning of 愛人 and 恋人, you have to be careful. Whereas 恋人 purely means lover, 愛人 means a lover that is not official, such as one in an adulterous relationship, or someone for just having sexual relationship. This is one of the words that need caution when also learning Chinese. In Chinese, 愛人 means spouse.

Don’t use 愛人 in japanese it’s bad, it

is best translated as “mistress”: a lover you have outside of your “official relationship” or with whom you are having an affair.

Note: Girls talk don’t use blatantly 恋, ‘suki’ is used most of the time.

Oh yeah, I search again what mean 恋爱 but I found related topic 谈恋爱, it means two people dating! When I google just 恋爱 the side bar said ‘falling in love’, but some people said it has been degenerate?? I don’t really understand?? I mean the 谈恋爱 (aka TLA the tán liàn ài).

谈 = talk

Ahhh I get it now!, it’s called dating or in relationship!, the older generation use 谈恋爱 to talk to each other, ‘date’ and lead to marriage, but now date is just date, not into serious date that lead into marriage, so we need context here.

談戀愛 Tán liàn’ài/Tarn liann’ay literally means “to be in a relationship” or “to be seeing someone”, but with the decline of morality* in the West, the English terms are drifting further and further from their traditional meaning.

Up until the mid-twentieth century, sexual mores used to be much closer to Chinese values. Today’s 談戀愛 is more like what Americans used to call “courting”,

I will just take a note, TLA mean dating this makes me even confused lol.
I found more related to love cough. I think this is what you called ambiguous relationship, like “are you dating her? no? then why you’re acting like that!” kind of vibe.
暧昧 [ài mèi]: dubious; shady; secret.
You’ll used it like this

Common phrase:

暧昧关系 (àimèi guānxì): dubious relationship.

The japanese and korean used is for many things, meanwhile the chinese use it for like relationship? not sure.

I love the way he sang it, zig-zag-y but still clear, and his voice is indeed like shonen-ish a bit cute one hehe. I like the original Kenshi Yonezu, but this one is my top fav for covered version!. I like the picture in the video too, the style is nice, and the pink color choice is good.

This one!!! the way she play the saxophone make the song sound so fun! it is soo catchy! the opening part is like woaaaahhh that breath! she really make loser into her own song I think.

I’m into bullet journal again, it’s so satisfying to see them write and decorate it beautifully, meanwhile me, meh minimalistic //eventhough I like to draw.
As long as it is useful I guess?, I think all those vid not really suit my style but still entertaining to watch to haha.

Oh have you watch simplynailogical’s new video about her new friend? it’s so hilarious, but still $700 for manequin then you paint it face green kinda…. what should it called in english?? not unfortunate, hm like “why you do that, it’s expensive buddy!!”.

And the poppy with kids react series!! finally it become reality.

I know pixiv is a good place to search but.. I cant read the tutorial T7T, tumblr is all in english so I can read it.
